1. Introduction

Fiera Roma S.r.l. (“Fiera”), with its registered office in Via Portuense, no. 1645/647 Rome (00148), VAT and Tax Code 07540411001, in its capacity as data controller pursuant to the applicable Italian legislation pro tempore on the protection of personal data (the “National Legislation”) and EU Regulation 679/2016 – General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) (hereinafter the National Legislation and the GDPR are collectively referred to as the “Applicable Law”), recognizes the importance of protecting personal data. Before providing any personal data, Fiera Roma S.r.l. invites you to carefully read this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”), as it contains important information on the protection of personal data and the security measures adopted to ensure confidentiality in full compliance with the Applicable Law. Moreover, this Privacy Policy:

  • applies exclusively to the website www.fieraroma.it (“Website”) and does not apply to other websites that may be accessed via external links;
  • is to be understood as information provided pursuant to Article 13 of the Applicable Law to those who interact with the Website;
  • complies with Recommendation No. 2/2001 on the minimum requirements for online data collection in the European Union, adopted on 17 May 2001 by the Article 29 Working Party.

Fiera Roma S.r.l. informs you that the processing of your personal data will be based on the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose and storage limitation, data minimization, accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality. Your personal data will therefore be processed in accordance with the provisions of the Applicable Law and the confidentiality obligations provided therein.

2. Data Controller.

In accordance with the Applicable Law, the data controller of the Website is Fiera Roma S.r.l. as defined above. 3. Personal Data subject to processing.

Personal Data” means any information concerning an identified or identifiable natural person, with particular reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or one or more factors specific to his/her physical, physiological, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity. The Personal Data collected by the Website are as follows:

  1. Browsing data: the Website’s IT systems collect certain Personal Data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with you, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow you to be identified. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the devices used to connect to the Website, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server’s response (successful, error, etc.), and other parameters related to your operating system and IT environment. These data are used in order to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the Website and to check its correct functioning; to enable – given the architecture of the systems used – the proper provision of the various functionalities requested by you, for security reasons and to ascertain responsibility in case of possible computer crimes against the Website or third parties, and are deleted after 7 days.
  2. Data provided voluntarily: through the Website you have the possibility to voluntarily provide Personal Data such as name and e-mail address for subscribing to the newsletter service or to contact Fiera Roma S.r.l. through the “Contact” form, or again Personal Data (name, email, business sector, phone number, etc.) for registering at trade fair events promoted by the Data Controller. Fiera Roma S.r.l. will process these data in compliance with the Applicable Law, assuming they refer to you or to third parties who have expressly authorized you to provide them on the basis of an appropriate legal ground legitimizing the processing of the relevant data. In this regard, you act as an independent data controller, assuming all legal obligations and responsibilities. In this sense, you release Fiera from any dispute, claim, or request for compensation for damages from processing, etc., that may be received from third parties whose Personal Data have been processed through your use of the Website in violation of the Applicable Law.

4. Purposes, legal basis and mandatory or optional nature of processing.

The Personal Data you provide through the Website will be processed by Fiera Roma S.r.l. for the following purposes:

a) purposes related to the performance of a contract of which you are a party or to the execution of pre-contractual measures adopted at your request (contact request through the “Contact” form, registration for trade fair events);

b) purposes related to the newsletter service;

c) purposes of research/statistical analysis on aggregated or anonymous data, therefore without the possibility of identifying the user, aimed at measuring the functioning of the Website, measuring traffic, and assessing usability and interest;

d) purposes related to compliance with a legal obligation to which Fiera Roma S.r.l. is subject;

e) purposes necessary to establish, exercise, or defend a right in court or whenever judicial authorities exercise their judicial functions.

The legal basis for the processing of Personal Data for the purposes referred to in point a) is the provision of a service or the response to a request, which do not require consent under the Applicable Law. The purpose referred to in point b) requires the acquisition of the data subject’s consent. The purpose referred to in point c) does not involve the processing of Personal Data, while the purposes referred to in points d) and e) represent a legitimate processing of Personal Data under the Applicable Law, since, once the Personal Data have been provided, the processing is indeed necessary in order to comply with a legal obligation to which Fiera Roma S.r.l. is subject or to exercise its right of defense in court.

Providing your Personal Data for the purposes listed above is optional, but failure to provide them may make it impossible to respond to your request or to comply with a legal obligation to which Fiera Roma S.r.l. may be subject.

5. Recipients and transfers

Your Personal Data may be shared, for the purposes specified in section 4, with:

  1. parties necessary for the provision of the services offered by the Website, including, for example, the sending of e-mails and the analysis of the functioning of the Website, who typically act as data processors on behalf of Fiera Roma S.r.l.;
  2. persons authorized by Fiera Roma S.r.l. to process Personal Data who have undertaken an obligation of confidentiality or have an adequate legal obligation of confidentiality (e.g. employees and collaborators);
  3. judicial authorities in the exercise of their functions when required by the Applicable Law.

Personal Data will not be transferred to Third Countries.

6. Data retention

Fiera Roma S.r.l. will process your Personal Data for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes indicated in section 4. By way of example, Fiera Roma S.r.l. will process Personal Data for the newsletter service until you decide to unsubscribe from the service. Without prejudice to the foregoing, Fiera Roma S.r.l. will process your Personal Data for the time permitted by Italian law to protect its interests (Articles 2946 and 2947(1)(3) of the Civil Code). 7. Rights of the Data Subject.

Within the limits of the Applicable Law, you have the right to request from Fiera Roma S.r.l., at any time, access to your Personal Data, their rectification or erasure, or to object to their processing, the restriction of processing as well as to obtain in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format the data concerning you. Requests must be addressed via email to privacy@fieraroma.it or by fax at 0665074472. Pursuant to the Applicable Law, you are in any case entitled to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (Italian Data Protection Authority – Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali) if you believe that the processing of your Personal Data is contrary to the applicable law.

8. Amendments

This Privacy Policy has been in force since 25 May 2018. Fiera Roma S.r.l. reserves the right to amend or simply update its content, in whole or in part, also due to changes in the Applicable Law. Fiera Roma S.r.l. will inform you of such changes as soon as they are introduced and they will be binding as soon as they are published on the Website. Therefore, the Data Controller invites you to regularly visit this section to take note of the most recent and updated version of the Privacy Policy so that you are always informed about the data collected and how Fiera Roma S.r.l. uses it.
